[8-bit Boss Battle 2]

Not too bad, but not exactly authentic.

Overall it sounds pretty good, though maybe a little too busy. But one thing people forget when trying to go for 8-bit remixes is the number of channels normally available for 8-bit.

The NES allowed for 5 sound channels, for instance, while the Gameboy (also 8-bit) allowed for 4.

This sounds like a lot more than 5, so...yeah. Authenticity is hard sometimes, but I might recommend you give it a shot.

I definitely know the ins and outs of the chiptune limit, a.k.a. the "golden rule" of 8-bit music, but I purposely choose to break it in my songs, because I feel it more entertaining to let 8-bit music be freed from its normal constraints. To me, it seems like it can expand and become something more beautiful.

Hey, not bad!

It's not amazing, but I like it! Clever redux of the Cave tune...very funky! I suggest you continue work on this, and put more development into the tune...it was really going somewhere by the end, but I felt it quit too soon!

I'm surprised nobody has reviewed this! ^^;

Simply haunting and beautiful...it seems the most tragic events oftentimes breed forth the greatest music...

Your response to the last reviewer is very true. Those we love who have moved on would most definitely want us to live our lives to the fullest.

You know, it got an innitial score of around 3 after a week before steadily going up. I think the current score is a little inflated because if you listen to other works at a 4.5 they are much more impressive. I know I always say that I'm going to add to my songs but rarely do, but since I am a trombonist, it is likely that this one will be improved at some point.

...I'm glad you do though. :P I can't even find the normal music files of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon anywhere online, much less remixes like this! Somebody needs to remix or at least recompose the music of this game...

I agree with the others, Sky Tower rules, and I cant' wait to hear it. :3

I like this. I really do. The song is one of my favorites -- I love how you kept just liek the original -- and the sound effects add a lot to the overall feel. The lyrics were well-thought-up, too.

I guess my problem is that you don't really put much feeling -- vocally -- into the lyrics, which sort of made the entire thing feel strained and unwilling (if that makes any sense). It's hard to really nail a song, but you did keep the rap going well, so I think you're very close...

I would love to hear more from you, or maybe this piece redone. You are obviously talented. =3 Keep it up, and keep striving for more.

Yeah I think you're definately right about the delivery part. I thought I'd try to make it sound kinda "robotic" but it just turned out flat in that respect. Too monotone and whatnot.
